Scandinavian elegance for a global brand
For decades, Volvo has stood for safety, quality, and technical reliability. Now the brand also needed to reflect the Scandinavian lifestyle—a balance of minimalism, warmth, and functionality. The project aimed to bring this design philosophy to life in the dealer network.
Design guidelines
Material and color scheme: Light wood, stone, and fabrics with natural textures create a warm atmosphere. A soft gray dominates the color scheme, combined with subtle accent colors.
Typography and grid: An elegant sans serif font provides clarity, while generous white space and modular grids guide the information architecture.
Photography: We staged the new showrooms, vehicles, and details in lighting moods reminiscent of Scandinavian summer evenings. Photos showcase open spaces, clean lines, harmonious details, and the play of shadows.
Cinematic story: Short image films accompany retailers on a journey through the new spaces. Perspectives shift from wide shots of the architecture to close-ups of materials and satisfied customers.
Result & Effect
The new design language showcases Volvo as a brand that combines tradition and modernity. Dealers receive a clear toolkit for implementation; customers experience a showroom that embodies the Scandinavian philosophy. The brand experience is consistent – whether online in the configurator, in the advertising campaign, or during a visit to the dealership.
